'Home is your corner of the world'. ♥ (Ilse Crawford) The biggest job of a military spouse is creating your corner of the world, that refuge, that safe haven for the military member to return to. Said Charles Dickens, "Home is a name, a word, it is a strong one; stronger than magician ever spoke, or spirit ever answered to, in the strongest conjuration." It is a big task to undertake--in our current world it's nearly a war in and of itself--to create such a magical sanctuary, to keep the home-fire burning bright while our spouses go out into the world to make the world safer, to make it better. The 48th SFSG recognizes the troubles you face and our hope is to bear you up, to give you a respite (if only once a month) and to give you support in any way we can, so that you in turn can provide that respite and support for your families. We are here to help you win your battles and to be triumphant in your endeavors to create a safe haven within whatever walls you may reside.

Happy Memorial Day.

Home of the free, because of the Brave.

Thank you to all who are serving, who have served and who will serve in the future.

And thank you to their wonderful families that support and love them from home, giving them continued strength to do what it is that they do.

Happy Memorial Day!

Let us also remember today in our prayers, those in our squadron whom we have lost and those that lost them.  Nick Alden and his beautiful wife, Trish, and their children will forever be in our hearts and prayers.
