'Home is your corner of the world'. ♥ (Ilse Crawford) The biggest job of a military spouse is creating your corner of the world, that refuge, that safe haven for the military member to return to. Said Charles Dickens, "Home is a name, a word, it is a strong one; stronger than magician ever spoke, or spirit ever answered to, in the strongest conjuration." It is a big task to undertake--in our current world it's nearly a war in and of itself--to create such a magical sanctuary, to keep the home-fire burning bright while our spouses go out into the world to make the world safer, to make it better. The 48th SFSG recognizes the troubles you face and our hope is to bear you up, to give you a respite (if only once a month) and to give you support in any way we can, so that you in turn can provide that respite and support for your families. We are here to help you win your battles and to be triumphant in your endeavors to create a safe haven within whatever walls you may reside.

It's Official

The 48th SF Spouses' Group is the newest authorized and officially recognized Private Organization on RAF Lakenheath.  Not much is changing that we haven't already discussed; we're just excited and wanted everyone to know.


Please come join us on the 28th of June for a Picnic in the Park at Defender Park (by Taco Bell) from 11-1, weather permitting.  If the weather doesn't cooperate, please join us at the Bob Hope Center on RAF Mildenhall.
