'Home is your corner of the world'. ♥ (Ilse Crawford) The biggest job of a military spouse is creating your corner of the world, that refuge, that safe haven for the military member to return to. Said Charles Dickens, "Home is a name, a word, it is a strong one; stronger than magician ever spoke, or spirit ever answered to, in the strongest conjuration." It is a big task to undertake--in our current world it's nearly a war in and of itself--to create such a magical sanctuary, to keep the home-fire burning bright while our spouses go out into the world to make the world safer, to make it better. The 48th SFSG recognizes the troubles you face and our hope is to bear you up, to give you a respite (if only once a month) and to give you support in any way we can, so that you in turn can provide that respite and support for your families. We are here to help you win your battles and to be triumphant in your endeavors to create a safe haven within whatever walls you may reside.

Looking forward to this summer!

Hey Spouses!  If you haven't already, please check out the calendar.  We have a few events this summer we are very excited about.  We are SO excited to announce that we have begun planning our first base-wide fundraiser! We will be having a Teddy Bear Picnic, tentatively scheduled for July 30th! It will be a ton of fun! More information to follow!

Because of this event, we have cancelled the Picnic in the Park get together in July, but we're still on for June 28th and August 16th!  Hope you're having a great summer and we look forward to seeing you :)
